Tackling food waste with Ocado

A 12-week campaign featured on Ocado’s milk bottles to inspire people to think about food waste and the difference their every day actions can makes.

I worked with Ocado through social enterprise Behaviour Change. The brief was to create fun, engaging and informative short form content for readers to access on a mobile phone that challenged their idea of food waste. To be read around the breakfast table, the content was light-touch and playful.

Nici took the brief we gave her on what could have been a rather dull topic and added a creative flare, transforming it into an imaginative and fun series of content pieces. Sustainability impact with Polarium

The annual sustainability report for Polarium – a leading energy storage and optimisation solutions built on lithium-ion battery technology for businesses within telecom, commercial and industrial facilities across the world.


This was one of my favourite projects to work on. Working alongside a team of experienced writers, I wrote about the future of energy trends, and produced interviews and case studies featured in the report. The client wanted the tone of the brochure to be vibrant, impactful and change-making.

Workshop in a box with Behaviour Change

Workshop in a Box is a community intervention offering an engaging recycling workshop for children. I wrote the story set-up, character fact sheets and instructions, aimed at children and facilitators. The fact sheets were particularly fun to work on as I was challenged with basing the personas on well-known celebrity voices.

100 prototypes were delivered to local authorities and schools across the UK. The workshop successfully encouraged children to speak up at home about recycling.

Data-led thought leadership with Feefo

A data-led thought leadership piece that transformed complex consumer research into an engaging and action-driven eBook. It featured insights from 2000+ consumers and 20+ million reviews.

The project was driven by audience and business needs, utilising collaboration with stakeholders, sales and marketing. It resulted in thousands of downloads, generating warm leads for follow-up campaigns and providing content for reputation-building campaigns.

Exploring wellbeing in an arts setting with charities

Voice magazine and A New Direction joined forces to explore the impact of wellbeing projects in the arts and culture sector. I explored, interviewed and attended events, to create a series of articles aimed at young people from all backgrounds who desire a career in the arts sector.

My role as freelance editor with Voice magazine also involved curating and editing a series of inspirational pieces written by young people, for young people and arts facilitators.

Nici was imaginative and resourceful, seeking out great content from young people and artists alike and capably developing new projects like Voice’s artist workshop series and TrinityTalent.
